These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dangerous Animal Alert application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Erbacci LTD ("we", "us"). By using the Service you accept these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old, the owner of (or authorised to install software for) the Ring outdoor camera(s) you connect to Dangerous Animal Alert, and authorised to operate them. The Service, its interface, and all of its notifications and emails are provided in English only. Availability depends on the Ring Appstore and on the app stores in your country, and we may not be able to offer the Service everywhere.
Dangerous Animal Alert is an awareness and convenience tool for wildlife activity near your home. It watches the outdoor Ring cameras you already own, classifies motion events, and notifies you when a wild animal that could be dangerous to pets is detected. Dangerous Animal Alert detects and informs; it does not protect. It is not a safety device, not a protection system, and not a security, alarm, or emergency service. It does not identify people and performs no facial recognition.
How we notify you. We notify you by push notification and — unless you turn it off — by one email per notified sighting. That email contains the detection details only (animal, camera name, date and time, confidence) plus a link to your dashboard; it never contains a snapshot or other image, which remains viewable only when you are signed in. There is no cascade and no escalation: no repeat alerts for the same sighting, no SMS, and no automated phone calls to you or anyone else. You can turn sighting emails off in the web console (Account → Sighting emails), in the Android app, or with the one-click unsubscribe link in every email; push notifications and your sighting history are unaffected.
Dangerous Animal Alert is intended solely for external, outdoor monitoring via Ring cameras. You agree not to use it for indoor monitoring. You are solely responsible for operating your Ring cameras lawfully and for giving any notice or obtaining any consent that applicable law requires for outdoor recording. Dangerous Animal Alert takes no physical action and triggers no alarms, sirens, deterrents, or emergency services; any decision you make based on its notifications is yours alone.
Do not rely on Dangerous Animal Alert to prevent death, injury, or property damage. Detections may be delayed, missed, or inaccurate, and no detection technology is perfect. The Service is a convenience layer on top of cameras you already own and is not a substitute for your own supervision of pets, children, or property, or for your own judgment before going outside or letting pets outside.
Dangerous Animal Alert is a separate subscription from your Ring Protect plan — Ring Protect and Ring Protect Pro do not include it. Dangerous Animal Alert is a third-party app distributed on the Ring Appstore by Erbacci Ltd, with its own plan. Holding any Ring Protect plan does not entitle you to Dangerous Animal Alert, and adding Dangerous Animal Alert does not change, extend, or replace your Ring Protect plan. It is added and managed in the Ring app, separately from Ring Protect; removing one does not remove the other.
What this app does when the plan is not active is the part we control, so it is the only part stated here: new analysis pauses, and your account keeps read-only access to sightings already captured, within the retention window. Every term of the plan itself is stated on the Dangerous Animal Alert listing in the Ring Appstore and shown to you there. That listing is the single authoritative source: we deliberately do not restate those terms here, because a second copy can drift from what Ring actually charges. You can manage or remove the app at any time through Ring My Apps. When it ends, and any refund, are governed by the Ring Billing System and stated on that listing — not restated here.
You agree not to: use the Service for indoor surveillance or for any unlawful purpose; use it as a security, alarm, protection, or emergency system; rely on it to protect any person, animal, or property; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code; interfere with the Service's operation; or use automated means to access the Service except through documented APIs.
Dangerous Animal Alert is provided "as is" as a wildlife-awareness convenience layer on top of existing Ring cameras. We make no warranty that notifications or classifications will be delivered timely, accurately, or at all, and species classifications are estimates that may be wrong. We disclaim any responsibility for decisions made, or harm caused, by reliance on Dangerous Animal Alert notifications. See the Disclaimer.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Erbacci LTD be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
You may delete your account at any time in the web console or the Android app (Account → Delete my data); doing so removes your data per our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated in-app before they take effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Wyoming, unless local consumer protection law in your jurisdiction grants you a non-waivable right to a different forum.
