Dangerous Animal Alert is an awareness and convenience tool for wildlife activity near your home. It detects and informs; it does not protect. It is not a safety device, not a protection system, and not a security, alarm, access-control, or emergency system. It is a convenience layer that uses your existing outdoor Ring cameras to classify motion and notify you when a wild animal that could be dangerous to pets is detected. Dangerous Animal Alert relies on third-party services (Ring's motion detection, network connectivity, push notification platforms operated by Apple and Google, and email delivery and spam filtering) that may delay, drop, or fail to deliver notifications.
Detections are estimates and may be wrong. Computer-vision species classification can miss an animal, misidentify it, or fire on the wrong subject due to lighting, camera angle, weather, occlusion, night conditions, or model limitations. Detections may be delayed, missed, or inaccurate, and no detection technology is perfect. Do not treat an alert or a snapshot as conclusive, and do not rely on Dangerous Animal Alert alone to make any decision about your safety, your pets, or your property.
Not a substitute for your own supervision or judgment. Dangerous Animal Alert is not a substitute for your own supervision of pets, children, or property. Always use your own judgment before going outside or letting pets outside.
Outdoor-only. No facial recognition. Classify animals, not people. Dangerous Animal Alert is intended solely for external, outdoor monitoring. It classifies wild-animal species; it does not identify, recognize, or enroll any person, reads no license plates, and performs no facial recognition or other biometric analysis. It is never intended for indoor use.
Lawful operation is your responsibility. You are responsible for operating your Ring cameras lawfully and for giving any notice or obtaining any consent that applicable law requires for outdoor recording.
By using Dangerous Animal Alert you acknowledge that we make no warranties about the accuracy of detections or the delivery of notifications, and that you remain solely responsible for how you use its notifications and for complying with all laws that apply to recording near your home.
